Rapid Reaction: Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss recoup some portal magic with addition of Stephon Wynn

Well, at least Ole Miss football this week isn’t leaving the transfer portal empty-handed. 

Far from it, actually. 

Despite the recent setback of Michigan State wide receiver Keon Coleman choosing Florida State over the Rebels, Ole Miss, on Thursday, addressed another critical need in committing former Nebraska and Alabama defensive lineman Stephon Wynn.

Wynn has played five seasons of college football.

He spent his first four years at Alabama. His fifth was last season at Nebraska, when he had 22 tackles, one pass break-up and one fumble recovery. He has 38 combined tackles (10 solo), 0.5 tackles for loss, one pass deflection and one fumble recovery in 24 career games.

Wynn is a one-time four-star recruit and member of the 2018 class. He was ranked as the No. 84 overall prospect in the country, as well as the No. 9 defensive lineman. He was the No. 20 prospect in Florida.

Wynn played in 21 games at Alabama and was a two-year letter-winner. He had 16 total tackles.
