Jabbar Muhammad on Rivalry: "It's just another game honestly."
It’s not very often a player has played for both teams in a rivalry. But that happens to be the case for Oregon cornerback Jabbar Muhammad. Last season he was a part of the Washington Huskies’ run for a national championship.
Muhammad met with media on Tuesday following the closed practice. Here were some of his thoughts on the rivalry and getting ready for Washington.
On the rivalry game:
“It’s just another game honestly. I’m just ready to go out there and compete with my bros. It’s a really fierce rivalry. Obviously the fans don’t get along too well. Just to be a part of it is pretty cool.”

On Denzel Boston:
“He’s a really good wideout. I feel like this year he’s really put everything together. Really coming into his own. He’s a complete receiver.”
On Giles Jackson:
“Agile really quick in the slot. Really good with yards after the catch.”
On Will Rogers:
“Really good pocket passer. Doesn’t do a lot of running.”
On Demond Williams:
“A little more dual-threat, can kill you with his legs. Going to keep him in a cage.”
On bye week improvements:
“For the DB’s specifically. We just went back to our fundamentals. We had some time to heal up. Get some footwork things in. Not getting so handsy. I feel like we’re in a good spot now.”
