Kobe Savage on Will Howard: "He does have a few keys and tells."
Oregon safety Kobe Savage was teammates with Ohio State quarterback Will Howard for two years. One being on offense and one on defense, he feels like he picked up a few keys to Howard’s game seeing him day in and day out in practice.
Savage talked about those details and what this defense must do on Saturday to get a win over Ohio State.
As usual the full quotes are below with the video included at the bottom.
On Disrupting QB/Howard:
“Really I feel like it’s the same with him like it is with any quarterback. Will’s a great quarterback, played with him like you said for 2 years. Get him off that pocket. Get him out of that sequence. They have a really good O-line so I feel like that adds some pressure to that.”
Having any tells knowing the QB:
“He does have a few keys and tells that I’ve noticed over the years. So yeah I feel like we can get away with some.”

On Getting More Turnovers:
“Definitely want to increase that. If you look at past years when Ohio State lost they lost the turnover battle and didn’t stop the run well.”
On Playing Well vs the Run:
“(Ashton) Jeanty was a great running back, that helped show us we can play with a lot of great runners.”
