Oregon Lands Four-Star DL Jericho Johnson
One of the top defensive linemen out West is staying out West. The Ducks have landed Fairfield (Calif.) defensive lineman Jericho Johnson the day after national signing day.
The 6-foot-3, 320-pounder is the No. 143 ranked player in the On3 Industry Rankings. He is the No. 16 ranked defensive lineman nationally. Oregon already put together one of the best defensive line classes in the nation.
Johnson picked Oregon over USC, Utah, Washington and others. The four-star had a heavy Pac-12 flavor on his list for most of his recruitment. He had visited Oregon the most out of all programs forging a strong relationship with Lanning and his staff. Despite the late push by those programs, Oregon was able to hold on.
