Sunnyslope (Ariz.) quarterback Luke Moga committed to Oregon in a bit of a surprise announcement Friday. The 6-foot-2, 190-pounder originally planned to commit today but pushed back his commitment date. And then after all, ended up committing today.
Moga is the nation’s No. 526 overall player in the On3 Industry Ranking. He’s currently the No. 32 ranked quarterback in the same ranking.

This weekend is one of the biggest recruiting weekends in program history. Moga is part of that massive list at Oregon.
Oregon remains in the mix for four-star quarterback Michael Van Buren, also visiting this weekend.
Back in March this is what Moga told ScoopDucks’ Sean Nelson about Oregon.
“Coach-staff personalities and the resources available to be successful as a player, QB and more importantly as a man,” he said.
“I love coach (Dan) Lanning, coach (Will) Stein, coach (Kamran) Araghi and coach (Jordan) Somerville. I hear from coach Stein and coach Lanning the most, coach Somerville and Araghi because of the Arizona connections.
”They’re all super fun to be around. We can talk ball or talk life.”Â
