Ellis, who plays at Moravian Prep (NC), is rated as a three-star prospect by Rivals. He’s the No. 320 overall player in his class, No. 14 combo guard, and No. 12 player in North Carolina.
The 6-foot, 165-pound guard originally committed to South Carolina on June 5.
In his time playing with the YNG Dreamerz in the Overtime Elite league this season, Ellis is averaging 30.4 points, eight assists, 4.2 rebounds, and two steals per game. He recently dropped 56 points in a game to break his older brother’s single-game record.
