South Carolina WR entering transfer portal
South Carolina rising sophomore wide receiver Brian Rowe is planning to enter the NCAA transfer portal next month, per a report from Matt Zenitz of CBS Sports.
News of Rowe’s departure from the program came via Rowe’s agent, Bryan Miller.
During his freshman season in Columbia, Rowe caught 19 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown. His first career score came in the Gamecocks’ road loss to Missouri. That game represented his season high (50) in receiving yards. He caught four passes each against Ole Miss and Coastal Carolina.
The Concord (North Carolina) Jay M. Robinson product was also suspended for South Carolina’s home game against Oklahoma this season.

As a recruit, Rowe was ranked as four-star prospect, the 268th-best overall prospect nationally, and the ninth-best prospect in the state of North Carolina by the Rivals Industry Ranking.
He was one of six wide receivers signed by the Gamecocks in the 2025 class.
Rowe enrolled early in January and was selected prior to the season as USC’s co-newcomer of the year on special teams.
