Andre Jackson arrived at UConn as a four-star and top-50 national recruit coming out of Amsterdam (New York) Albany Academy. During his time in high school, Jackson was named the NY Sports Writers Association Class A Player of the Year. Jackson played in 16 games as a freshman before becoming a mainstay in the starting lineup as a sophomore. During the 2021-2022 season, Jackson averaged 6.8 points and 6.8 rebounds and shot 42% from the field. Jackson was named a team captain for the 2022-2023 season, and he played a key role in helping the Huskies reach the Final Four with 10 assists in the Elite Eight victory over Gonzaga. Jackson has been active on the NIL front with an agreement with Urban Outfitters that was announced shortly after UConn reached the Final Four.
