Andrew Rappleyea Scouting Summary
Charles Power
06/03/22

Smooth moving tight end who has some of the best route-running and change of direction we've seen from the position in several cycles. Checks in at 6-foot-4.5, and around 230 pounds with adequate length for the position. Lines up both in-line and in the slot for his high school, while also playing on defense. Appears to be extremely polished and a considerable mismatch as a receiver. Has advanced route-running ability for this stage. Shows outstanding shake at the top of his routes. Changes directions to break off defenders at the line of scrimmage. Extends for catches while working down the seam and over the middle. Shows the ability to pick up yards after the catch, getting upfield quickly and running through contact. Looks to be a good athlete for the position. Averaged over 20 yards per catch as a junior and senior. Also showed off his movement skills while working as a linebacker and safety on defense. A willing blocker, but will need to continue adding mass and strength once he gets in a college strength program. Doubles as a very good basketball player and shows off his athleticism with the ability to play above the rim. Did not face overly strong competition at the high school level. Older for the class, turning 18 years old in February of his junior year. Overall skill level at the position points to a translatable game to both college and potentially the NFL.
