Anthony Grant has had a long, winding college football journey. He enrolled at Florida State out of Buford (Ga.) High in 2018. As a freshman, he was the team’s kick returner and made other contributions on special teams as well. He redshirted the 2019 season and spent some time away from the program. Grant then transferred to New Mexico Military Institute. After a great 2020 season, Grant had an otherworldly 2021 season. He rushed for 1,730 yards and 18 touchdowns in 12 games as he was named 2021 NJCAA Male Student-Athlete of the Year and led NMMI to the national championship game. Grant then transferred to Nebraska. He is the son of Anthony Grant and the late Wytevia Frazier. Grant is majoring in child, youth and family studies.
