Austin Brown showcased a complete safety skill set as a senior. The Johnston City (Ill.) High standout made plays on both sides of the ball with 87 tackles and five interceptions and over 1,300 yards and 18 touchdowns on offense. Brown is an athletic, highly physical playmaker. On defense, he’s a big-time striker, seeking out big hits and form-tackling with gusto. He also shows the ability to win in contested situations in coverage. The athleticism and playmaking shows up on offense, where he regularly dusts some subpar competition. The athleticism is backed up in the combine setting, where he tested as one of the more athletic safeties in the cycle.
