Braden Fiske was an On3 Consensus three-star recruit in the 2018 recruiting class coming out of Michigan City (Indiana) High School. He originally signed with Western Michigan over other MAC and FCS offers. During the 2022 season, Fiske racked up 56 tackles (30 solo), 10.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and a fumble recovery for the 5-7 Broncos. Those totals helped him earn second-team All-MAC honors. He produced a strong season as a redshirt sophomore as well, accumulating 43 tackles (27 solo) and four sacks. With his success on the MAC level and a coaching change at Western Michigan, Fiske decided to enter the Transfer Portal after the 2022 season. “I had zero intentions of even entering the portal,” Fiske told On3’s BlueandGold.com. “I was going to stay at Western for a sixth year. I thought the coaching staff would still be there. It was kind of a blindside move. No one was really prepared for it."
