Brandon Miller passes the look test immediately. He has long arms and a projectable frame. Physically, he looks like a wing at the highest level. You quickly see the shot-making with him. He is comfortable off the catch, with his feet set. There is great balance, and he moves well with the passer to catch shot ready. In high school, Miller showcased an advanced mid-range/mid-post game. Setting up comfortably from 12 to 20 feet and showcasing excellent footwork to get an open look. Miller uses his positional size (6-9) and length to elevate high above defenders and get clean looks. He is a good team defender; while still having questions about his ability to move laterally on an island, he has good anticipation in the passing lanes. Miller can attack the rim in straight lines and showcases a lot of pop in transition. Would like to see him continue developing his ball handling and his ability to utilize some counter dribbles when his path to the basket is cut off. He is an offensive weapon with a less-is-more approach. He can struggle to finish at the rim in the half-court, but that improved as the season went on and should continue to improve as he adds natural weight. Miller is older for his class.
