Personal Life

Brett Neilon was an On3 Consensus four-star recruit and the No. 14 interior offensive line prospect coming out of Rancho Santa Margarita (Calif.) Santa Margarita Catholic in the 2017 class. He originally picked USC over offers from Michigan, Auburn, South Carolina, Washington and others. Entering the 2022 season, Neilon was one of the top returners on the USC squad with 34 career appearances and 29 starts. In 2021, he started all 12 games at center. Neilon earned All-Pac-12 honorable mention honors and was a Pro Football Focus All-Pac-12 first-team pick. He was also an honorable mention all-league pick in 2020. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration at USC in the fall of 2020 and is now working on a master’s in entrepreneurship and innovation with a 3.2 GPA. His father and brother attended USC and two of his aunts were on the USC golf team – Kim Saiki, who played on the LPGA Tour, and Laura Saiki. He grew up in Tokyo, Japan, home of his mother, where he participated in baseball, basketball, soccer and the martial art of aikido.
