Reminds Us Of

Chad Woodfork's athleticism and pass rush traits remind us of Sam Williams.
Team Predictions
Scouting Report
Outstanding athlete off the edge with the traits to develop into a dangerous speed rusher. Measured in at 6-foot-4, 214 pounds at the On3 Elite Series prior to his senior season. Has plus length with arms that measure 33 ⅞-inches to go with 9 ⅞-inch hands. Carries much of his weight in his lower body with a wide base. Significant room to fill out through his midsection and upper body. A gifted combine athlete with explosion and bounce. Athleticism is apparent on Friday nights, where he flashes very quick get-off. Very difficult to block off the edge when he times his first step well. Shows good bend and has an effective up and under move. High-end traits are readily apparent. Needs to improve his consistency as the production doesn’t match his physical ability with 6 sacks in two varsity seasons as a sophomore and junior. Can improve his physicality and hand usage at the point of attack and will need to add mass to his frame. A long-term projection given his athleticism, but will need to put it together as a total player to approach his high ceiling.

Personal Life
Chad Woodfork helped Summer Creek make Humble ISD history by reaching the Class 6A Division II state championship game in 2023. Yet, Woodfork wasn't satisfied and has worked hard at becoming an even better player. “It’s just competing," he said. "We compete every day at practice. We compete all the time. I just go out there and compete. I’ve been given an ability by God to go out there and play. Definitely working on my speed. I’m already explosive, but I'm trying to get more explosive. Trying to get bigger as well, gain some weight.”
