Christian Bentancur did it all on both sides of the ball in 2022 for Woodstock (Illinois) Marian Central Catholic. On offense at tight end, he had 57 receptions for 1,085 yards and 11 scores. He also added 45 tackles, seven sacks, five forced fumbles and even an interception that was returned for a touchdown. As a sophomore, Bentancur had 49 receptions for 1,020 yards and 11 scores. “Obviously the first thing you notice is Christian's ability with his ball skills and overall hand talent,” MCC coach Liam Kirwan told 247Sports. “Any time the ball comes near him, he gets his hands on it and brings it down. On the outside for us this year, it was nice to have a guy to go to on a fade ball whenever you want for the most part.”
