Michigan coach Sherrone Moore isn’t shy to exude confidence about what tight end Colston Loveland brings to the table as a player. At the 2024 Big Ten Media Days, Moore made a lofty comparison between Loveland and one of the best ever to play the position. “I mean, ever heard of Travis Kelce? I mean, that’s what you’re looking at – dude’s an animal,” Moore said. “He’s an absolute animal and like – the guy just works, he works, he works. The sky’s the limit for him. He does everything well. Everything. Run game. He looks like a receiver when he’s running routes.” During the 2023 season, Loveland racked up 45 catches for 649 yards and four touchdowns. He also had three key catches against Washington in the College Football Playoff. “I don't know what my ceiling is,” Loveland said. “I do know that I can compete with anyone, and I’m going to work my butt off to become the most complete tight end I can.”
