Three years ago, most onlookers would have believed Conner Weigman would be preparing for the Major League Baseball draft as a high school senior. The right-hander has long been considered one of the best baseball prospects in the state. But Weigman’s play on the gridiron as a sophomore dramatically altered that trajectory. He was named the district newcomer of the year as a sophomore and then earned district MVP honors as a junior, when he rang up 44 touchdown passes. Weigman participated in the Elite 11 quarterback camp finals and earned rave reviews for his mix of arm talent and athleticism. Weigman decided to commit to Texas A&M in football prior to his senior year, and perhaps more importantly, has opted to enroll early at Aggieland and forego his senior year of baseball, making his full-time transition to football complete. He lists hunting and fishing as his hobbies. He plans on majoring in business. His parents are Chad and Jacqui Weigman.
