Natural passer with physical gifts that point to a high developmental upside. Measured in at over 6-foot-4, and around 190 pounds. Has considerable room to fill out once in a college strength program. A relatively late riser who drew looks by way of strong camp performances prior to his senior season. An inherently gifted passer with a strong mechanical foundation. Has a compact delivery that is easily replicable on a throw to throw basis. Easily generates zip on his passes, quickly setting his feet and firing from the pocket. Capable of changing the trajectory of his release to throw with touch and layer passes. Put high level passes on film, delivering into small windows over the middle of the field and deep down the boundary. Registers as an accurate passer on Friday nights, as his mechanics allow for a consistent delivery and catchable ball. Completed over 69% of his passes for 2372 yards and 23 touchdowns against 5 interceptions at 9.6 yards per attempt as a senior. Has rushing upside that belies his yardage on the ground in high school. Rushed for seven touchdowns as a senior. Though he projects as a pocket passer, is a good athlete for the position and capable of tucking it and picking up yards when things break down. Still developing as a two-year varsity starter. Needs to become more consistent in his footwork and overall decision-making that will come with banked reps and continued coaching.
