Scouting Report
It’s the feel for the game. Dylan Harper plays at his own pace, never rushed. He gets to his spots and delivers accurate plays off proper reads. While he’s not the most athletic player, his size, along with his balance and body control keep defenders on his hip and allow him to absorb contact in the paint. In Atlanta, he shot the 3 at a 43.7% (7-16) clip. The takeaway however, was the passing. Simply on target and on time from all levels and angles on the floor. He’s averaging 17.1 points and 4.6 assists through April.

Personal Life
Dylan Harper is the son of five-time NBA champion Ron Harper. And much like his father, who averaged 13.8 points in his career with the Cavs, Clippers, Bulls and Lakers, Harper is considered a top-level scorer that isn’t afraid to defend and use his size to his advantage. “I can do a little bit of everything,” Harper told On3’s Jamie Shaw. “Get people better, pass the ball, shoot and rebound. My jump shot has become a weapon – people can’t go under screens on me now. I watch a lot of Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Cade Cunningham, bigger guards who use their dribble to get to the rim.” Harper grabbed headlines during the 2022-2023 season when he won MVP of the prestigious John Wall Holiday Invitational and then started January off with a 36-point outburst on Showtime TV against 2023 five-star DJ Wagner. His junior season at Ramsey (New Jersey) Don Bosco Prep ended with a 38-point performance against Bergen Catholic in the North Non-Public A semifinals. He finished the 2022-2023 high school season averaging 23 points.
