High motor defensive line prospect who has some positional versatility along the defensive front. Terrific body composition and build. Excellent frame to add weight in order to stick his hand in the dirt but also has the athleticism to stand up off the edge. Stands in at 6-foot-4, 240 pounds with a 6-foot-6 wingspan. Ran an impressive 4.98 40-yard dash and jumped a 25-inch vertical during the spring camp circuit prior to his junior season. Consistently chases ball carriers from backside. Violent at the point of attack and uses his length to strike blockers first. Plays with great leverage and pad level. Needs to become more proactive than reactive, has some moments where he looks lost and works himself out of plays. Should be able to gain more consistency as he grows and develops within a system. Love the upside here and has a chance to become a dominant player once he finds his home on defense. Ideal fit would be as a 4i-technique or a 5-technique as a strong-side end. Started off his high school career at West Orange-Stark (TX), transferred to Katy Taylor (TX) for his sophomore season and played his final two seasons at C.E. King (TX). One of the older prospects in the 2023 recruiting cycle.
