When Ohio State coach Ryan Day was asked to detail the strengths of Emeka Egbuka, he had a hard time identifying just one or two things the standout receiver can do well. “He can catch a handoff, run a bubble, he can block, he can run deep routes, there’s not much Emeka can’t do," Day said. “He can do a lot of things as a player. When I think about him as a player, it’s somebody who is strong. He's also an outstanding leader. He's taken the role of mentor and thrived in that position. He's one of a kind." Egbuka had a down year in 2023 season for his standards because of an injury he suffered, catching 41 passes for 515 yards and four touchdowns. In his sophomore campaign, he had 74 catches for 1,151 yards and 10 touchdowns. Egbuka was the MLB Pitch, Hit & Run national champion for seven and 8-year-olds in 2011.
