Personal Life

Garrett Wilson was a three-sport star in high school and had Division I scholarship offers in both football and basketball. He finished his football career with 55 total touchdowns and 3,359 receiving yards while also averaging 21 points per game his junior season. He did not play a senior basketball season, electing to enroll early at Ohio State. He was the Austin American-Statesman’s Central Texas high school athlete of the year for the 2017-18 school year. The best pure athlete in Austin (Texas) Lake Travis history didn’t skip a beat his freshman year at Ohio State. He was even better as a sophomore, earning first-team All-Big Ten honors with teammate Chris Olave from the conference’s coaches. He is the son of Candice and Kenny Wilson. Kenny Wilson played basketball at Davidson from 1980-1984. He is fifteenth all-time in points scored in Wildcats history with 1,573.
