Personal Life

Georgia Amoore is originally from Australia, and she competed with for the Australian National Team at different youth levels, winning a gold medal at the U16 Asian Cup and a bronze medal at the U18 World Cup. She also played for Ballarat Rush and earned the Rising Star Award in 2019. At Virginia Tech, she made an immediate impact, starting 23 of 25 games in the 2020-2021 season. In the 2021-2022 season, she was a first-team All-ACC Tournament selection and an honorable mention all-league pick after averaging 11.2 points and 4.4 assists. Amoore would then go on to win the MVP of the 2023 ACC Women’s Basketball Tournament and also first-team all-league honors. She also became the first Virginia Tech women’s basketball athlete to record a triple-double with a 24-point, 10-rebound, 11-assist effort vs. Nebraska on Dec. 1, 2022.
