Hanna Cavinder and her sister, Haley, forever changed fans understanding of NIL. When NIL launched on July 1, 2021, the Cavinder Twins announced three major brand deals – including one with Boost Mobile in Times Square – to their millions of followers on social media. They would go on to become the face of the NIL Era with countless partnerships and major media attention. The twins defined what it means to control the NIL market. After a successful run at Fresno State, the twins transferred to Miami for the 2022-2023 season. The twins spent one year in Coral Gables before retiring and focusing on their influencer brand. Hanna would later reverse course in April 2024 and announce she'd play one final season at Miami. During her junior season at Fresno State, Hanna started all 29 games and ranked 10th in the Mountain West in scoring with 14.6 points per game. During her senior season at Miami, Hanna saw action in 34 games and averaged 3.8 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists. She was also a member of the 2023 All-ACC Academic team.
