Hauss Hejny Scouting Summary
Charles Power
06/06/23

- Dynamic dual-threat who pairs the best speed of any top quarterback in the 2024 cycle along with a polished passing skill set. Smaller in stature than most of his blue-chip peers, measuring at around 5-foot-11, 185 pounds prior to his senior season. Has elite speed for the position, running the 100 meters in the 10.9 second range as a junior. Also ripped off a sensational 4.46 second 40-yard dash at the Elite 11 regional. A twitched-up, explosive athlete on Friday nights. Moves like he’s in fast forward. A dynamic run threat, who changes the math for defenses with his ability to take any carry to the house. Dangers as a designed runner and outpaces defensive backs in the open field. Flashes a good arm with the ability to drive throws out to the boundary and over the middle of the field. Effective in running a modern spread offense with his ability to stress defenses in multiple ways. Showed encouraging progress as a passer on the camp circuit prior to his senior season. Generates good velocity on his passes with a quick throwing motion and core torque. Turned in a strong junior season, leading Aledo to a Texas 5A-D1 state title in his first year as a starter. Completed 62.% of his passes for 2,094 yards and 20 touchdowns against 7 interceptions at 11.2 yards per attempt. Also rushed for 1,276 yards and 15 touchdowns at over 10 yards per carry. Did not have the pure passing output or attempts as many blue-chip quarterbacks. Has a smaller frame and hands, which regularly measure under 9-inches, which may limit his long-term upside. Has strong athletic genes with both parents being scholarship athletes (father-football, mother- basketball) at TCU.
