Isaiah Wong propelled the Miami Hurricanes to back-to-back Sweet 16 appearances during the 2022-2023 season. As a junior, Wong averaged 16.1 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 38% from 3-point range. Those numbers helped him win ACC Player of the Year and earn a spot as an honorable mention All-American. He also moved into the top five on Miami’s all-time scoring list as a junior. Wong – a former four-star recruit from Monsignor Bonner High School – attributes much of his success to his mother’s support off the court. “We made a verbal commitment to what we need to do and improve,” Wong said. “My mom (Lachelle Wong) helped me throughout the season by just talking to me and helping me mentally. I’ve been doing the work on the court, and it’s just been going up from there.”
