Not everyone was convinced Jack Campbell could play linebacker at the college level. Some thought he was too tall at nearly 6-foot-5. But the consensus three-star recruit out of Cedar Falls, Iowa, has proved the doubters wrong. He was his district’s defensive player of the year as a high school senior. Campbell was also a very good basketball player and led Cedar Falls to back-to-back Iowa Class 4A boys’ basketball championships. He was a backup as a freshman in 2019 and played in five games during the COVID-shortened 2020 season. Campbell’s parents are Amy and Jeremy Eastman and Jen and Dave Campbell. He is majoring in enterprise leadership at Iowa. Dave Campbell played on the offensive line at Northern Iowa. Jack Campbell is majoring in enterprise leadership.
