After coming out of Giblert (Arizona) High School as the No. 6 recruit in the state, Jack Plummer played four years at Purdue (2018-2021) and one season at Cal (2022) before eventually transferring to Louisville for 2023. During his time at Cal, he threw for 3,095 yards and 21 touchdowns – both totals rank in the top eight in Bears' history. At Purdue, he threw for 3,405 yards with 26 touchdowns in 21 games. Plummer made an instant impact for the Cardinals in 2023 by throwing for more than 200 yards in nine regular season games and topping 300 three times in the regular season. His 388 yards and five touchdown performance against Boston College ranks among the all-time best at Louisville.
