Both Jake Johnson and Hunter Henry had a strong argument for having the best ball skills in their respective recruiting cycles. Like Henry, Johnson has showed a considerable catch radius along with some crafty route running skills while lining split out and in-line.

Personal Life

Jake Johnson’s father is former NFL star quarterback Brad Johnson. During his father’s 15 years in the NFL, Johnson played with the Minnesota Vikings, Washington Football Team, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dallas Cowboys. Brad Johnson led the Buccaneers to the Super Bowl XXXVII title over the Oakland Raiders. His brother, Max Johnson, is a quarterback at LSU. Jake Johnson’s mother is Nikki Johnson, and she attended school at South Florida. Johnson lists ping pong, basketball, frisbee, golf and hanging out at the beach as his hobbies. Johnson helped Oconee County to a 12-1 record and an appearance in the Georgia AAA state championship game as a junior. He was also the Georgia Region 8-AAA offensive player of the year in 2020.
