Charles Power
06/01/23

Gifted quarterback prospect with physical tools that stand out in the 2024 cycle. Measured at around 6-foot-1.5, 190 pounds with a 10-inch hand prior to his senior season. Registers as a top athlete in the combine setting, running 4.62 40-yard dash and 4.21 short shuttle at the Elite 11’s Atlanta regional. Flashes a strong arm in the camp setting and on Friday nights. Shows the ability to drive the ball to the boundary and stretch the field vertically with his arm. Has some technical polish as a passer in the camp setting. A plus athlete who picks up yards with his legs on designed runs. Also shows the ability to make some creative plays with his legs. Runs with physicality and works to break tackles. Plays lower level competition on Friday nights. Can tighten up his release in order to improve his proficiency in the quick game in addition to improving overall consistency as a player. Also plays basketball, where he flashes above-the-rim bounce. Has the tools that point to a higher ceiling than many of his peers but will need further development and in-game reps.

Personal Life

Jakhari Williams flew somewhat under the national radar throughout his first few years of high school football because First Presbyterian Day School is a member of the Georgia Independent Athletic Association, a new division of the Georgia Independent School Association. The school previously was part of GHSA but left for GIAA before the start of this academic year. But those that did their homework on Williams knew he had the talent to be one of the best high school quarterbacks in the country. “He can run, and he can throw it a mile,” Presbyterian Day School coach Greg Moore told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “He’s got a good touch, he’s very athletic. He is just a really, really good kid. I tell you, he is the most pleasant person in the world to talk to.” Williams was a true dual-threat quarterback in 2022, racking up nearly 1,000 yards on the grown and throwing for more than 2,100 yards and 20 touchdown passes. Away from football, Williams also plays basketball and track. His hobbies are fishing and boating. He plans on majoring in business in college. Williams’ parents are Cherrell Lundy and Elkanah Williams.
