Jalil Tucker faced off with 2023 four-star wide receiver Makai Lemon on week one of the high school football season. Each had their fair share of wins, with Lemon probably having a few more to his name. Lemon is a refined, confident player on both sides of the ball and is an interesting prospect at corner, though he’s likely to play receiver in Norman. Tucker showed his top athleticism along with some nice physicality. He’s still a bit undeveloped in coverage and had a few pass interference calls due to face guarding and grabbing.

Jalil Tucker had his commitment announcement to Oregon spoiled on live television by his father. When asked about his thoughts about his recruitment – before the announcement was made – Jonathan Tucker said: “I’m happy for him. He’s a good kid. Lazy, but he’s a good kid. And I know he’s going to represent Oregon well.” It was a lighthearted moment that will never be forgotten by the Tucker family. Tucker is a star on the football field and also on the track. In track, Tucker posted an 11.04-second 100-meter time as a junior and a 22.41-second 200 meter. He ran a 10.78 time in the 100 as a freshman in high school. He has several sub-11 second times in the 100 throughout his high school career. Tucker plans to major in music in college. His mother is Dunea Wanton.
