Jonah Savaiinaea credits a lot of things for his success while at Arizona, but maybe the biggest is the katsu chicken plate with sides of fries and tuna mac salad at Solid Grindz, a Hawaiian barbecue restaurant he partnered with to promote their food on his social media platforms. "It makes me feel at home every time," Savaiinaea, a Honolulu, Hawaii, native said. "It gives me that home feeling here in Tucson and it fuels my fire every time." Savaiinaea entered the 2024 season as a preseason All-Big 12 selection. During the 2023 season, he started all 13 games and finished second on the team in overall blocking grade (69.7). Savaiinaea's work on the offensive line in 2023 helped the Wildcats finish with the eighth-best passing attack in the nation.
