Jonathan Daniels Scouting Summary
Cody Bellaire
08/26/22

Physically-gifted blocker with a big frame and some of the best athleticism among 2024 offensive linemen. Measured around 6-foot-4.5, 285 pounds. Has plus length for the position with verified 34.5-inch arms to go with 11-inch hands. Pairs that big, projectable frame with outstanding athleticism. Can really run in the combine setting. Has some of the best change of direction marks of all 2024 offensive line prospects. Plays both offensive and defensive line for his high school and was more of a defender to start his high school career. Primarily plays right tackle for his high school. Has a flat back and natural bend in his stance. Flies off the snap with his movement skills immediately jumping out. Easily gets to the second level. Capable of moving bodies in the run game when his technique is on point. Has all of the tools to be a top pass protector but is undeveloped technically. Needs to improve his balance and base along with hand placement. Older for the class, turning 19 years-old in January of his senior year.

Personal Life

Jonathan Daniels has played on both sides of the football during his junior and sophomore seasons for Pensacola (Florida) Pine Forest, but his high school coach, Ronnie Douglas, believes his star linemen has the tools to be a future NFL star. “He’s got everything you want – size, length, flexibility and he moves his feet so well,” Douglas told On3. “He’s also got a mean streak but is extremely coachable.” Daniels said he loves playing on both sides of the ball because it helps him become a “smarter blocker on offense.” Daniels, who goes by the nickname Jonny, says former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star Marvin Sapp is his favorite player.
