Personal Life

Jordan Wright was a two-sport star at Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard. He had 25 sacks as a senior and added six touchdowns as a red-zone tight end. As a basketball player, he averaged 18 points, eight rebounds, four steals and four assists as a senior and was named the Sun Sentinel's Player of the Year for Classes 9A-7A. He redshirted in 2017 before serving as a backup as a redshirt freshman and sophomore. He was a starter in both 2020 and 2021. He said his nickname is “Jay Dub.” Wright majored in community and leadership development and earned his degree in December 2021. He is now working towards a degree in kinesiology. He is the son of Wanda Burns-Wright and Louis Wright. His older sister Kayla Wright played college basketball at Tulsa and Nova Southeastern. She won the 2015-16 SSC Player of the Year award. Her No. 34 jersey is retired by Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard, where she won four state titles and three state championship MVP awards.
