Josh Conerly Jr. Scouting Summary
Charles Power
01/08/22

On3 Consensus five-star Josh Conerly Jr. is an athletic lineman with good length. The 6-foot-5, 285-pounder worked at right tackle in San Antonio and was clearly adjusting to the speed of the action over the course of the week. While Conerly has some nice movement skills, he’ll need to increase his play strength and anchor to maximize his potential at the next level. We saw him get moved off his spot relatively easily once engaged with defensive linemen.

Personal Life

Josh Conerly Jr. started out playing running back in middle school but blossomed into one of the top offensive line recruits in the country as he grew in size. Conerly Jr. said he owes a lot of his development to playing against former Five-Star Plus defensive lineman J.T. Tuimoloau in high school. “I take every opponent on like I am playing against J.T.,” Conerly told Recruiting News Guru. “It does not matter who is watching, who I am playing against, or when. For me, it does not matter the size of the person I am going against, you go your hardest no matter what.” Conerly also plays basketball for Rainier Beach. His parents are Joshua and Jamila.
