Kam Pringle Scouting Summary
Charles Power
05/22/23

Mountain of an offensive tackle who is one of the biggest linemen in the 2024 cycle. Measured at around 6-foot-8, 335 pounds prior to his junior season. Has a wing-span over 7-feet and a 10-inch hand. Lines up at left tackle on Friday nights. Is a people mover in the run game. Leans on defensive linemen and creates a push. Carries his size relatively well and shows some explosive movements in working to the second level. Has strong hands that neutralize defenders. Also plays some on the defensive line, showing good functional athleticism. A three sport athlete who plays basketball and throws the shot put. Turned in a personal best shot put toss of 48-10 feet and finished 3rd in the state meet as a junior. A taller offensive tackle who has a tendency to play high. News to improve his lower body flexibility and bend to maximize his leverage as a blocker. Has a naturally big frame, but needs to be cognizant of his size while continuing to improve his lateral agility to aid in pass protection. Looks like a right tackle long-term with the possibility of also seeing time on the inside pending team needs.

Personal Life

Dorchester (South Carolina) Woodland coach Eddie Ford had a front-row seat watching Kam Pringle develop from a seventh grader beating up on middle schoolers on the football field to one of the top-ranked offensive linemen in the country. “He was a pudgy little seventh grader when I met him, and I’ve seen him grow,” Ford told On3’s Gamecock Central. “He’s lost the baby weight, and he’s developed into a really, really good football player. But he’s been a great kid the whole time. He’s been humble, level headed. He’s just been a great kid.” Pringle landed his first scholarship offer when he was a freshman in high school, as recruiters saw what Ford was seeing every day in practice. “He’s a physical football player that has a lot of God-given gifts,” Ford said. “He’s a really smart, high football IQ guy.”
