LamaraDistin

Lamara Distin is originally from Hanover, Jamaica. She arrived at Texas A&M with a long list of international success, including finishing 12th in the IAAF World U20 Championships. She would later go on to own the Jamaican record with an outdoor high jump of 6-5.5, which she recorded in April 2022. At Texas A&M in 2021, Distin earned second-team All-America honors in indoor with a jump of 5-11.25 and first-team All-America honors in outdoor with a leap of 6.275. She would go on to earn indoor and outdoor All-America honors in 2022 and ranks first in school history with an outdoor leap of 6-5.5. She is a two-time SEC and two-time NCAA champion.
