Reminds Us Of

Lamont Rogers' rare combination of elite size and length and explosive movement skills reminds us of Mekhi Becton. Like Becton, Rogers is a massive athlete who excels as a multi-sport star. Both were high upside prospects who played with a violent physicality.

Scouting Report
Freakish physical talent along the offensive line with rare dimensions and athletic traits. Measured at nearly 6-foot-7, 310 pounds prior to his senior season. The longest top offensive lineman in the 2025 cycle with 35-inch arms to go with 10 5/8 inch hands. A sudden, twitchy athlete who shows his advanced movement skills on Friday nights. Lines up at left tackle for his high school team. Explodes off the snap and envelops defensive linemen on contact. Has been a vicious run blocker for the majority of his high school career. Is able to reach cornerbacks when blocking on perimeter screens. Showed marked improvement in pass protection as a senior, while playing some of the best competition in the state of Texas. A multi-sport athlete who doubles as a prolific basketball player in addition to playing soccer. Still needs to develop technically. Can stand to improve his lower body strength and flexibility. Should see improvement once he receives college coaching and gets in a Power 4 strength program. Has one of the higher upsides in the loaded 2025 offensive line cycle.

Personal Life
Lamont Rogers looks up to one of the best in the NFL – and another Texas high school football legend – for inspiration. "I like Trent Williams," Rogers told Dave Campbell's Texas Football. "I like how explosive he is and how powerful he is when he blocks. I like that." Rogers himself has drawn similar comparisons to Williams back when the NFL star was in high school. It means a lot, especially since Rogers didn't start on the varsity level until he was a sophomore. "My coach has taught me a lot," Rogers said after the 2022 season. "I did not know what I was doing at first because it is only my third year playing football, but they coached me right to stay low and block with my hands."
