Coming out of Belton (Texas) High School, Logan Hall’s offer list was Houston, Bowling Green and Sam Houston State. Hall said that lack of recruiting attention fueled him throughout his time at Houston, where he became an immediate impact player. Hall played in all 13 games as a true freshman with 14 tackles and three for loss. He even made a start in the team's Armed Forces Bowl game against Army. As a sophomore, he started three of 12 games played and had 14 tackles, two for loss. He started seven of eight games in 2020, where he racked up 23 tackles and two for a loss. Hall became a big playmaker for Houston in 2021, where he garnered first-team all-American Athletic Conference honors with a team-high 13.5 tackles for loss with 6.5 sacks among 48 tackles in 13 games.
