Marco Jones Scouting Summary
Charles Power
02/04/25

Versatile jumbo front-seven defender who has blossomed as a pass rusher late in his high school career. Measured in at 6-foot-5, 245 pounds with 33.5-inch arms, and 10-inch hands as a senior. Continued to add size over the course of his senior season. Began his career as a linebacker and tight end, before adding pass-rusher to his role as a senior. Played off-ball and off the edge as a senior, rushing out of a two-point stance. Put together great senior film and a productive season, totaling 32 tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks in 13 games. Shows an advanced level of technical polish as a pass rusher, especially given his lack of experience in that regard. Uses quick hands to swipe and disengage. Has an effective long-arm move. Has the ability to convert speed to power. Strong effort level in backside pursuit, straining to track down ball carriers. Dangerous as a downhill run defender and blitzer when lined up off-ball. Athleticism translates much better to a pass rusher than an off-ball linebacker. Also saw time at tight end, coming down with some acrobatic catches. Doubles as a high-level baseball player. Will need to continue developing his skill set as an EDGE player given his relative lack of experience at the spot.
