Personal Life

Mason Graham has overcome expectations throughout his entire career. Coming out of high school as a three-star recruit, Graham was an overlooked part of the Wolverines' 20223 recruiting class. He said he used the snubs to fuel his fire and develop into one of the most dominating interior defensive linemen in the country. “Mason is a guy where you can see he was a high school wrestler,” Michigan defensive line coach Lou Esposito said ahead of the 2024 season. “He plays with great leverage, he understands the transfer of weight and he understands his hands, and he’s just getting better and better and better. He's got that drive and desire to prove everybody wrong – and that chip on his shoulder makes him even that much better." Graham had a breakout 2023 season, earning second-team All-American honors from Sporting News and first-team All-Big Ten recognition from the coaches. He was also the Defensive MVP of the Rose Bowl. Graham posted 35 tackles, including 7.5 for loss and three sacks in 2023.
