Personal Life

Maurice Williams was a first-team Texas District 23-6A unanimous first-team pick as a junior. He recorded 43 tackles, two interceptions, three fumble recoveries, three pass deflections and one caused fumble in 2022. Williams had 47 tackles and one interception as a sophomore for Shadow Creek, who made it to the second round of the Texas 6A D-II playoffs. Williams started his high school career at Houston Episcopal. Even with all of his success, Williams told On3’s Billy Embody he’s still working hard at becoming a more complete player. “I’m always working on my technique, building up my small muscle groups,” Williams said. “I’m also working hard at becoming a good leader for my team, so we can build the bond and chemistry year round.”
