As expected, Michelle Cooper took college soccer by storm in 2021. She was named the 2021 TopDrawerSoccer.com National Freshman of the Year, TopDrawerSoccer.com Freshman Best XI Team, 2021 ACC Freshman of the Year and to 2021 United Soccer Coaches All-America First Team. Cooper also took home a number of All-ACC honors after setting a school freshman record with 12 goals in 2021. She also led the team with 29 points and tied for second with five assists. Cooper also has plenty of international experience. She was named to U.S. U20 Women’s Youth National Team for the Sud Ladies Cup in Aubagne, France, from June 16-29, 2022. She tallied one goal and one assist, leading the squad to the team title. Clark scored eight goals at the 2022 Concacaf Women’s U20 Championship to win the Golden Boot as the top scorer and Golden Ball as the best player in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
