Personal Life

Mike Sainristil arrived at Michigan as the No. 1 player out of Massachusetts and a four-star recruit in the Class of 2019. He was named the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state during his senior year at Everett High School. Sainristil played early in his career for the Wolverines, appearing in 13 games as a freshman and starting in six games in 2020. Sainristil appeared in all 14 games of the 2021 season, racking up 22 receptions for 312 yards and two scores. He would be named an All-Big Ten selection in 2022 after moving to cornerback. He recorded 58 tackles, 6.5 tackles for a loss two sacks and one interception. As a graduate senior in 2023, Sainristil earned second-team all-league honors and was named four times as the Wolverines' Defensive Player of the Week – including against Iowa in the Big Ten Championship Game.
