Myron Charles considers himself a complete defensive lineman. "I can play about anywhere that's needed," Charles said. "On the next level, they use their defensive lineman all over the line, so I don’t feel it’s a big adjustment for me, because that’s what I do with run-stopping and getting after the quarterback. It fits right into my playing style and fits right into the system as I get older. I've also worked really hard on getting bigger and faster. My hands are more violent and faster. The way I’m finishing on plays is faster and better because of my hands." During his sophomore and junior seasons at Port Charlotte, Charles racked up 62 tackles, 16.5 tackles for loss, five and a half sacks, three pass break ups, one fumble recovery and three forced fumbles.
