Everybody agrees that Nic Scourton is a good guy off the field, but on the field he likes to create chaos. "He is a troublemaker, that is for sure," Texas A&M offensive lineman Mark Nabou said when describing Scourton. "He has high energy at practice, high energy during the scrimmage, high energy in everything he does. We actually love going against him. He really gives us a good look and finds our weaknesses." Scourton exposed a lot of offensive linemen during the 2023 season while at Purdue. Before transferring to Texas A&M ahead of the 2024 season, Scourton earned second-team All-Big Ten honors with Purdue after totaling 10 sacks and 15.5 tackles for a loss. "He led the Big Ten in sacks last year," A&M coach Mike Elko said. "That does not happen by accident. He has played a lot of football. He knows how to go about his business. He has a really strong repertoire of pass-rush (moves)."
