Personal Life
Moultrie (Georgia) Colquitt County coach Sean Calhoun isn’t shy about heaping praise on Ny Carr. “Ny has an extremely outgoing personality,” Calhoun told On3’s Dawgs HQ. “When he walks into the room, he has that presence. People are just drawn to him. He’s funny and really personable. He knows a little bit about a lot, so he can just talk to you about anything. He’s a joy to be around. He sticks out in a good way.” Carr also sticks out on the football field. In 2022, Carr racked up 1,051 yards receiving and 10 touchdowns. He averaged 17 yards a reception. Those numbers bettered his 2021 season, which saw him catch 40 passes for 862 yards and 13 scores. “There are a couple of things that jump off,” Calhoun said. “First, is his speed. He has elite speed, and he can take the top off, which creates problems. Second, it’s about how effortlessly he catches the ball. He has such long arms and big hands. His catch radius is really good for quarterbacks, because they can be a bit off and be a little bit off target, and he can catch it. The way I describe it is he just plucks it out of the air. He really does.” Away from football, Carr enjoys playing basketball and running track. His parents are Nneka Hamilton and Milton Carr.
