Reminds Us Of

Roderick Kearney's quick feet and versatility as an interior offensive line prospect remind us of A.J. Cann. Kearney is a bit taller than Cann at the same stage.
Team Predictions
Scouting Report
Flashes plus athleticism along the interior offensive line and plays with a mean streak. Added over 40 pounds between his sophomore and junior off-seasons. Checks in around 6-foot-3, 300 pounds with a wing-span over 6-foot-6. Possesses a dense build with the necessary frame to carry more than the sufficient weight in college. Registers as a strong athlete with a 4.57 second short shuttle prior to his senior season. Initial burst and overall athleticism flashes off the screen. Looks to finish defenders down in and down out and plays angry. Need to see more work in pass protection but has the foot speed and overall athleticism to hone the craft. Plays right tackle and guard at the high school level but projects to kick inside at the next level due to his frame and skill set.

Personal Life
Roderick Kearney is a student of the game. He said he likes to spend a lot of time working on the little things and spends hours upon hours watching film. “I’ve got the aggressiveness down pat, so I’m working on my technique, footwork, getting faster and stronger,” Kearney said. “I look up videos and learn from them. I work out at home, lift -- working on the tiny stuff. It depends on what I’m working on that day, but like for pass pro, I look up Trent Williams. My strength is run blocking.” He’s coached at Orange Park by Marcus Wimberly, who played college football at Miami and spent time in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons. He plans on majoring in either business or communications in college. His parents are Karonica and Roderick Kearney.
