Sean Tucker was a consensus three-star recruit in the 2019 recruiting class out of Towson (Md.) Calvert Hall College. The Owings Mills, Md., native rushed for 1,556 yards as a junior and 1,204 yards as a senior. He wasn’t supposed to be an impact player for Syracuse as a freshman. But injuries and COVID opt-outs opened the path for Tucker to take over the starting role and make it his own. He rushed for the third-most yards by a freshman in school history. He is the son of Lisa and Steve Tucker. Tucker is majoring in computer science at Syracuse. He hopes to compete on Syracuse’s track team after the 2021 football season concludes. He ran track in high school and won back-to-back 55-meter dash state titles.
